Wine and Cheese (Dip) Night

Last night me and Eddie FINALLY had the house to ourselves and to celebrate we rented a movie (GONE) popped a bottle of champagne and we made one of Eddie's favorite appetizers Chili con Queso or Cheese Dip . . .classy huh? Not the typical wine and cheese party but it was YUMMY and it was of course paired with beer later in the night. If you order this as much as we do at Chili's here is our copy cat recipe:

Chili con Queso


Ingredients:
-1/2 pound Ground Beef
-Salt and Pepper
-Hot Taco Seasoning
-1 jar of Tostitos Smooth & Cheesy Dip

Directions:
1) Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
2) Season ground beef with salt, pepper, and taco seasoning then cook till browned
3) Drain ground beef on a paper towel then put into a oven safe dish
4) Cover ground beef with jar of cheese dip
5) Cook for 30 minutes or until cheese bubbles

TIPS/NOTES:
-Serve with your favorite chips --- we like Fritos Scoops

Copy Cat - Wingers Rebel Sauce

Since getting a fryer as a wedding present - Fried Naked Wings have definitely made their place into our favorite dinner/party foods. Here in Utah we have a restaurant called Wingers that has one of the best sweet, sticky, spicy sauces that we have ever tried. Wingers does sell their original sauce at the various grocery stores in the area but being the spice lovers that we are we prefer it a little bit spicier (AKA Rebel sauce at the restaurant) which is not sold in stores. However thanks to Pinterest I have found a few copy cat recipes on  Chef in Training  and  Six Sisters Stuff  that feature the original recipe and have adjusted them into a spicier version. Reese's Peanut Butter Egg Cookies

I threw an event at work saturday and didn't realize until midday sunday that I forgot the leftover chocolate in my car. Normally this wouldn't be that big of a deal but 1) it was good chocolate (reese's peanut butter eggs) and 2) it has actually started to get hot FINALLY!! and the chocolate was melted. Eddie wanted me to make cookies to bring to work Wednesday so I decided to freeze the peanut butter eggs, cut them up, and throw them into a cookie :) Reese's Peanut Butter Egg Cookies Ingredients: 1 cup butter 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 3 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 12 Reese's Eggs (chopped) Directions: 1) Pre Heat oven to 350 degrees 2) Cream butter and sugars 3) Add Egg and vanilla 4) Add Flour  (1 cup at a time), baking soda, and salt 5) Stir in Reese's Eggs 6) Spoon onto cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes NOTE: -Mix makes about 46 cookie
