Cake Batter Cookies

Last night Eddie was craving cookies . . . It was around 10pm, we were out of cookie dough, and making them from scratch was out of the question (LOL) However I did have cake mix and for whatever reason Pinterest has had a ton of cake batter recipes including cookies up lately so I thought why not?

I thought they turned out AWESOME!!! Totally tasted like cake batter with a cookie texture and cooked up in a snap . . . super easy late night cookies :)



CAKE BATTER COOKIES


Ingredients:
-1 Box Cake Mix
-2 eggs
-1/3 cup Oil
-Cookie Toppings (optional)

Directions:
1) Pre-Heat Oven to 375 degrees
2) Mix everything together until blended
3) Bake for 6 minutes
4) Top cookies with toppings (as you can see in the picture we used a little Bit of everything)
5) Let Cool

NOTES:
-Vanilla cake mix can be made into any flavor you want. I only had funfetti cake mix on hand last night but Eddie wanted chocolate cookies so we just added chocolate syrup to the mix until it was chocolaty enough for him :)

Copy Cat - Wingers Rebel Sauce

Since getting a fryer as a wedding present - Fried Naked Wings have definitely made their place into our favorite dinner/party foods. Here in Utah we have a restaurant called Wingers that has one of the best sweet, sticky, spicy sauces that we have ever tried. Wingers does sell their original sauce at the various grocery stores in the area but being the spice lovers that we are we prefer it a little bit spicier (AKA Rebel sauce at the restaurant) which is not sold in stores. However thanks to Pinterest I have found a few copy cat recipes on  Chef in Training  and  Six Sisters Stuff  that feature the original recipe and have adjusted them into a spicier version. Reese's Peanut Butter Egg Cookies

I threw an event at work saturday and didn't realize until midday sunday that I forgot the leftover chocolate in my car. Normally this wouldn't be that big of a deal but 1) it was good chocolate (reese's peanut butter eggs) and 2) it has actually started to get hot FINALLY!! and the chocolate was melted. Eddie wanted me to make cookies to bring to work Wednesday so I decided to freeze the peanut butter eggs, cut them up, and throw them into a cookie :) Reese's Peanut Butter Egg Cookies Ingredients: 1 cup butter 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 3 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 12 Reese's Eggs (chopped) Directions: 1) Pre Heat oven to 350 degrees 2) Cream butter and sugars 3) Add Egg and vanilla 4) Add Flour  (1 cup at a time), baking soda, and salt 5) Stir in Reese's Eggs 6) Spoon onto cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes NOTE: -Mix makes about 46 cookie
