Homemade Take-Out

As much as me and Eddie love going out with the NBA playoffs we have been staying in ALOT. While playing around on our iPad the other day I found  this recipe for Honey Sesame Chicken and thought why not make some homemade Chinese Take out? Was a little iffy about it not knowing what Eddie would think but to my surprise it was quickly gone, made the house smell AMAZING!!!, and Eddie can't wait to have it again. . . WIN!!!

Crock Pot Honey Sesame Chicken

Ingredients:
-3 pounds of Chicken Breast
-Salt and Pepper
-1 cup honey
-1/2 cup soy sauce
-1/4 cup ketchup
-2 tbsps oil
-2 cloves of minced garlic
-1 tbsp red pepper flakes
-4 tsps cornstarch
-6 tbsp water
-Sesame Seeds

Directions:
1) Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper then place in Crock Pot
2) Mix together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes
3) Pour sauce on top of chicken
4) Cook in Crock Pot on low for 4 hours or high for 2
5) Remove Chicken from the Crock Pot
6) Dissolve cornstarch in water, stir into the sauce (that is still in the Crock Pot), turn Crock Pot to high and let sauce thicken for 10 minutes with lid off
7) Cut chicken into bit size pieces or strips then return to Crock Pot and toss with sauce
8) Serve with rice or noodles and sprinkle with sesame seeds

NOTES:
-I did not follow the recipe exactly as the original - I left out a few things and added more pepper flakes and doubled the recipe
-Be sure not to cook chicken for too long or else it will become a little dry. However after sitting cut up in the sauce for a while it will become more moist
-Eddie's Take: "This is Awesome and tastes delicious but isn't really "Chinese"/Panda Express Flavored. However with that said I would eat this again without a doubt. One of the best Chicken Dishes"
